Sri. Srinivasa Sharma,
is son of Sri. Ananthasubramhanya and smt. Bhageerathi. Sri.
Ananthasubramhanya was serving in military and after his retirement he led the
life of a Vaideeka. Sri. Srinivasa Sharma completed his first 6 years of Vedic
education with Seetharama Ghanapaati at Tipparadipuram situtated betweeen
Kumbhakonam and Mannarkudi. He completed Yajurveda and also upto +2 of
English education. After completing the education, he was directed to
Hosapet in Karnataka byParamaachaya of Kanchi. At Hosapet, Sri. Srinivasa
Sharma studied Veda Bhaashya and Shadanga and was taught by Shri.
Rameshwara Avadhani.
After Vedic education,
he moved to Bangalore and is engaged in imparting Vedic education to the next
generation. He is managing a Gurukula where children from 9 years are
admitted. Yaurveda Krama will be taught for six years in residential school.
Tradition is adhered to in the Vedic school both in letter and in spirit.
Opportunities are available to continue the education for another two and
half years with Ghana and Jataa paata. Samskrita is also taught in the
Gurukula.
So, far eight students
have completed the education in the Gurukula. Another eight students are
learning Yajurveda currently. Students are evaluated every year by exams
conducted by Om Charitable Trust, Kanchi, Avadhoota Datta Peeta, Mysore (on
Ooty Road), and Veda Rakshana Nidhi, Kancheevaram. The exams are
conducted during January - March of every year. Visit to the Paatashala
and evaluation of the envirnoment is also part of the evaluation scheme adopted
by these trusts.
